Create Melt Entrance

Melt entrance is essential for performing a simulation. This section demonstrates how to set up the melt entrance on the runner and part surface.

 

To build a melt entrance on the runner

Double click clip0127 in the tree menu to define a melt entrance.

An entity will appear in the tree menu upon completion of set-up.

Double click clip0174 to modify any previous settings, or use the delete button on the keyboard to delete.

? Note: If the melt entrance is directly set on the part, the diameter of the melt entrance is adjustable.

Diameter is defined by the diameter of runner end point

Diameter is defined by the diameter  of runner end point

Diameter is defined by the surface area of runner. A complete runner system, including gates and runner, is a prerequisite for creating melt entrance on solid body runner.

Right click melt entrance element and click Zoom To Selection.

The melt entrance will fit to the window.
